Default Original EQ Server?

I would like to create a classic only EQ server. I did not start playing EQLive until Shadows of Luclin was out and I am not very happy playing EQLive anymore. I hear all these great things about the original EQ, so I would like to just build an EQ classic server. Is there any DB for the classic EQ out there? If so where can I get them? I am also not sure where to find information about items, spawns, spells or any of that stuff for the original EQ. So if there are any people that would like to help out. Please send an email to dfjestuss@netscape.net or check out the website http://gwans.no-ip.org My server should be able to hold about 20 persons and it is currently running EQEmu 4.4DR1 I am not very good at SQL or Coding, but I have a lot of free time to learn right now.
Thanks
Gwandangles

Image put GuildWars database up for download - it's EQClassic - Old World. Only thing is it's PvP server..not sure how you'd modify it, but I presume it's simple enough :P

You can set the world to PVP or not - I think it's in the code. Standard windows .exe files will probably just run regular old-world zones without guildwar.

Yea, the world can be set to PvP with an entry into the database, dont remember the syntax off the top of my head, do a search for pvp server and it should have its own thread

I've been updating that DB since I put my server up, removing dupe spawns, correcting loot tables, etc...I may make it available for download with just the normal spawns soon - not sure yet though.

Well I would love to get my hands on a good complete EQ Classic database. I did not ever play the original EQ so I am having a hard time find the original quests, items and that sort of stuff.

Killspree so you have a list of the spawns. I will use another db if you could give me a list of spawns. I would appreciate it.

I wouldn't worry about EQlive, it was designed to have hundreds of people at the same time, dozens in a single zone. There's no need to emulate that if your not going to have that many people playing your server. Design your own content. Six months from now there will be a thousand eqlive like servers. Distinguish yourself. People will fight to get on your server and play something brand new.

How about an evil race of Dwarves (Drugar) in Lavastorm? Mining Sol A&B for the Dark Elf armies. Who says Najena is a dark elf? Dervish Cutthroats become Sand Raiders, and they inhabit all of Ro (North South and Oasis). Freeport is a slave city of the Dark Elf's. Blackburrow is a goblin warren (are they available in bb? not sure).

You get the idea. Don't mind me, I'm just rambling.

It would be fun to set up different cities and faction sets. There wouldn't be many huts, but to have more goblin towns, or a diplomatic fire elemental encampment would be fun.

The great thing about alot of people doing projects away from EQlive, is you can mysqldump, and then source a new file and poof! Brand new server in just 20 minutes. Start trading db's around and you've got literally months of completely new content available.

Remember the first days of EQ? When there weren't any zone guides? Completely re-discovering a new world. That was the real fun of EQ.

Okay it is going to happen. I am going to build a server basesd on the original eq zones and races. I am not sure what we are going to be doing about the content. But we should be able to get it going. I like some of the ideas posted here in this string. I think that it would be great to have our own content, that would make it a whole new game. Is there any good story tellers out there that would like to write a storyline for this new game? That way I could build the content of the world around the storyline. I am not very good at writing stories and stuff of that nature. But I can write computer stuff =). There is only two of us working on this project, so if anyone would like to help out please visit my website and leave your information on the forums page.
