Default Wrong Version....!?

this morning i did some patching to my EQ folder( i had the problem where if i entered Thurg it got booted to desktop, so i re-downloaded it) and after i did that i went to log into EQEMu and after puting in my name/pw it spits up

Error 1002: Incorrect Version!!
Please run the patch program again to ensure you
have the current version.

.....so i am not sure why it did it, all i can figure is they must have patched some file recently to do this, i did notice it downloaded eqmain.dll again and something else, but i cant remember what the other file was =\ just eqmain.dll stuck in my mind

What was the version of the server you were trying to connect to?

This is very handy - no more cryptic 1017 errors, which often confused users. I think this error message will be helpful in the future for when the emu is broken against the eqlive client.

Here's a possible fix. I don't feel like explaining every little detail tonight, so you will need to use a little saavy and figure things out for yourself.

The only executable portion of code that appears to have changed is eqmain.dll. When eqlive patched this file, it made a backup of your previous file as eqmain.backup.dll.

I'll let you figure out the rest.

PS: This definitely won't work for those of you that just installed a fresh EQ and patched straight up to eqlive.

I didn't try a reinstall but I still can't find the eqmain.backup.dll.. only Eqmain file is the DLL the game uses

Default New error in login screen

I just found out about this program a few days ago. Went thru all the mysql problems (wow, was that annoying) got a 1002 error(? u know the incorrect version one) re-installed pop so i could get a new (or old ) eqmain.dll file- put it into the eqemu folder- now when i log on- none of the buttons say anything on them- they are blank. when i put in user name and pass word- eqemu for both from other posts after creating the account- i get an error message (or something) that says: legacy of yekesha.

the only thing that i can think of is that one of my database files for mysql has not been loaded, but considering i got a 1002 error before and could see the buttons- im not so sure.

If anyone has an idea- please clue me in-

by the way im doing this for the lan set-up and have all the programs running that i'm supposed to and they are no longer giving me any errors.

x-scythe, you said you got it to work...just curious what you did with the eqmain.dll file to get it to work? or anyone for that matter? Ive been playing with it for a while and cant figure it out...would appricate any replies. i just found this program today and it sounds pretty cool, so id like to try and get this thing working. I got to the server select a few times but as soon as i tried to log onto a server it restarted the program but i cant even get that far now...it tells me error 1002 at the username/password screen

Im thinking now the reason this is kicking up $hit is because i am patching to the live servers...i changed the eqhost.txt so that it was 5997 instead of 5999 in order to use the 0.5.0 version but the server was down when i got on...guess ill give it a shot tomorrow to see if it works
