Default problem with everquest itself

i read numerous forum entries and could not find someone having the same problem as me. this is not about the emulator. i was going through the steps to set myself up for the emulator and discovered i had made some errors when i was patching that would not allow me to use eqemu. so i uninstalled everthing and i was trying to reinstall everquest and now the cd is installing the files into my windows folder. is it suppose to do this. well when i allow this to happen and try to run the patcher it patches one file and when i click "play online" it says something about the msl dll file or something like that being incorrectly installed to the windows file. how do i fix this. thanks

well i solved the problem myself. i just had to take every single file that everquest put in my windows folder and make my own everquest file to put them in. thanks anyways though.
