New and confused

Well let me just say i play EQemu but i just now installed and i'm tryiung to run it on MY computer instead of my brothers and something is wrong. Each timke i patch up to play the 5.0 DR3 servers a message comes up saying I'm missing a file. can any one pinpoint this problem and help me fix it so i may play the all great EQEMU?

What is the name of the file you are missing ?

One fairly common problem is people not having DirectX 8.1 or greater installed ... if the missing file is called D8<Something> that will be it, otherwise post the name of the file.

Install Direct X 9 then repatch to live. do NOT post missing EQ files here. They are warz and we cant give them out. Patching to live should fix the error if you already have Direct X 9.

Well i fixed everything but now when i log into a server an error comes up. The program has made an illegal blah blah blah error and i can't fix it or figure out how to fix it can you guys help?

it could be a D3D problem try reinstalling your video drivers and if that doesnt work try to reinstall EQ
