Default %Path% Possible Problems?

Alright ive done and downloaded everything correct so far, I think my problem might be that wincvs mysql and zlib are not on my c drive but my extra e drive, but stay with me I enter the new %path% commands, correcting the lines and replacing e with c because, as i stated, they are on the e drive when i go to command prompt and enter the text needed, "cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/eqemu login" I get a the "'cvs' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file" and no i did not forget to edit it I am running windows xp and a few possible things occured to me.

A) Since the variables preceeding the new entered variables are all based on "c:" i am getting my errors from that.
or
B) The tutorial is slightly different than what my operating system is.

I tried to be as detailed about my problem as possible, any insight on this would be great! Thanks guys. your awesome

Try this:
Code:
e:\EQEMu\YourDirectory>echo %path%
See if your CVS path shows up in the list. That would be the path you installed wincvs to.

Default Place?

winCVS is def installed to e:\eqemu\cvs\wincvs i have no idea what the problem is. Is

"cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/eqemu login" the exact line im sposed to enter? Cant believe im stuck within step 6. Compiler and everything else ready to go just stuck on this jargen haha. I need sleep. Will pick up were i left off tomorow.. *EDIT* Didnt get to bed yet, pissed off haha. What exactly does that line of code do? For experimental purposes i placed "wincvs" were "cvs" is in that code, and it opened up winCVS from the prompt, so my thought was that the code opens up the CVS application. Upon looking through my file folder ive realized that there are multiple cvs named files of different file types, could that be a possible cause of error? Im trying to help myself out as much as possible with some logical thought but it just dosnt seem to be working haha. Its 5 AM, i am NOW going to bed.

I think if you install WinCVS 1.3b13, cvs.exe is installed into \eqemu\cvs\wincsv\CVSNT, whereas if you use 1.3b10, it will be installed into \eqemu\cvs\wincvs. Have a look and check where your exe is.

Default Thans

Problem Solved, didnt pay close enough attention to the cvs file extensions when i went sorting through the files last night. Indeed it WAS in the cvsnt file. Maybe possibly add this to the tutorial.
thanks for the quick responses guys, really appreciate it.
