Default Errror 1017 every time

Code:
Error 1017: Cannot login to the everquest server.
You may need to re-run the update patch.
Repeatedly seeing this message indicates a loss
of conectivity to the patch server. This is usually temporary
Every time i try connecting to a server i get this message. If i re-run the patch, it stays the same. Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

this may be a problem with the patch server. There is a big load in the forum below this: win32 or something.

I got that error when I updated to the latest EQLive patch.

If you did run the updater, get the EQemu updater from the main page and run that. Make sure to install it into your EQ dir.

I'm afraid the eqemu patcher has some issues when dealing with certain things. There are some that can use it just fine, some who have it work only SOME of the time, and those who have it work all the time. Untill these errors can be worked out, I think you're just going to have to get the zip file from these boards...or just wait.

You have to make sure you DL'ed the Patcher files into your EQemu folder ..that should fix it ..I had the same problem when i first did it ...that fixed it for me
