semi legit
when the emu is back on with this "live servers" will they all be legit or might there be a semi-legit server

my guess, is the reason people have legit servers running is because they have old eq files, the people who run non legit servers likely play eqlive for their legit time, so now they are out of luck, so i expect alot of non/semi legit servers to come up when 5.0 is out.

I can not speak for everyone, but I can speak for myself. I currently have an active EQLive account. I have played for almost 4 years. Im just plain old tired. Tired of SONY, tired of lame GM's, tired of the whole Sony led EQLive.
I decided to create an EQEmu server simply for a change in routine. Its a wonderful experience and I look forward to all the challenges. I do so love the EQ experience thus I will keep my server on an "Uber Legit" status.
I love steak and sometimes I like to make it myself.
Like I said I can only speak for myself.

finally, someone can give me a real reason to play a legit server lol, everytime i ask someone "why do you like legit" i get the same ole "uh, well, becaue i can" or some lame excuse like that, in a way, im in the same boat as you, except ive been playing for almost 2 years now, and when im done grinding on my main toon, i like to switch to emu and vedge out on a non-legit server.

just a stupid question from someone who hasn't played before....
what is the difference between legit and uber legit? and are there any legit, non pvp, good servers out there?

what ive heard, there is legit, who basicly runs what emu gives them, with a few bugs, nothing too major(devs work hella hard to get this to work) and there is uber legit, which are the people who work on their server (non dev) and try and work out the little things, like spawns, mob HP, loot tables.

Its not a stupid question. Legit plays pretty much like eqlive... semi legit gives you a few "cheat" commands and non-legit gives you a lot of cheat commands
