Default Plz don't hurt me

I am sorry, i know u guys hate having to answer the same problems over and over again but i am just stupid =( i read the post a few under me saying that it keeps saying to re-run the patch but its obvious when u re-run the patch it changes the host and makes the file turn into the regular eqlive. Matt mentioned he already answered it in the forums and i have been looking for a very long time but i can not find it =/ if someone can plz just quickly clarify what i do i promise i will never try and annoy you guys again =D. And yes my eqhost is at .net:5997 not .net:5999

3 ways

1)

first open your everquest directory and find your EQhost file , and change it to
[Registration Servers]
{
"eqlogin1.eqemulator.net:5997"
}
[Login Servers]
{
"eqlogin1.eqemulator.net:5997"
}

click execute in your taskbar , then type
"C:\program files\EverQuest\eqgame.exe" patchme

if your EQ directory is somwhere else change the path.

OR

2) patch EQ , once EQ is patched DO NOT CLICK PLAY yet , open your eqhost.txt file and change it to:
[Registration Servers]
{
"eqlogin1.eqemulator.net:5997"
}
[Login Servers]
{
"eqlogin1.eqemulator.net:5997"
}

AND THEN click play it should work

3)

Use EQW , you just patch EQ once , change the EQhost file and use EQW once you changed EQhost

He didn't mentioned his error in his post :P so could have been that hehe.
I think DR5 works with EQlive (not sure of that), so you might want to try a DR5 server and see if it works for you.

He said the error told him to rerun the update patch, which is a 1017 error, which stems from the latest patch having broken the emu temporarily.

iirc the cvs is updated to work with live again so poke around the servers online again to see if anyone's updated their server version yet.
