what to do when u cannot log in

im kinda confused now there have been hundreds of posts about errors and how to fix them
everytime im trying to login to server selection im getting the error that i'd the wrong version

i tried
"eqlogin3.eqemulator.net:5997"
"eqlogin3.eqemulator.net:5999"
"eqlogin1.eqemulator.net:5997"
"eqlogin1.eqemulator.net:5999"

but nothing worked

i am only having EQclassic and i did just install (so no 18th dec patch ) it and there is no datarate.txt i could change....

i have also downloaded the file posted on the very top of this forum....i extracted it directly into my eq folder and now im getting the erro ,,couldnt create surface'' or something

any ideas?

did you patch at all? you can not run eqemu from a fresh install of eq...

isnt it for d00des who run a server?
i did download it and i did extract it into my EQ directory and i got the error posted above
