Default Personal Server

OK, i have been messing with this for a couple weeks now, dont know if this would be helpful to anyone but i though i would post it so anyone that wanted to run there own little personal server with out having to go through the login servers (i.e. myself since im running dial up and i only hook up at 26.4k). Here is what i have and it seems to be working great for me!

Latest EqEmu Release (5.3 Dr2)

[Login Servers]

MiniLoginAccounts.ini

127.0.0.1 eqemu eqemu

(There's a space at the end of the last eqemu! For the sake of complexity, im sticking with the eqemu account for this setup )
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also when i went to add the Eqemu acctount to MySql DB, i did it using the MySql Front program, not my adding it in through the command prompt. Heres he info from when i did that...

1.Open your Database
2. Click account
3. Now on the right pane click the Data Browser tab
4. Heres what i added in

Name=eqemu
Password=eqemu
Status=200

Ok now things that i didnt not tailor for this setup,

DB.ini stays the same as if your running your server on the EqEmu Logins

MySql is the same also, I had sourced the mw_052_053_alpha2 db in and its update counter part. This you do as if your setting the server up for the EqEmu logings also, as this section will never vary from any setup, So just follow the info on setting up your own server!

I have two seperate Eq Folders, One is live and the other has been patched up to 1/15/04.

Now since I am dial up, i do not have to be connected to the internet to run this since all IP's and address are set to be local ones.

Again I must say that this set up does work, for me that is, and I can not guarentee sucessful results for others, but if your of the the few that cant seem to get going on regular playing way with the Login servers, mabey this will be good for you. One bad part about the whole setup is the fact your completly and utterly alone, with no one but your imagination to keep you company.Good Luck with this one if you seem to want to go this route.

P.S. Forgot to Include this little tidbit, both the server and the game are running on the same comp which is the following

1.7 GHz P4
512 MB Ram (PC 800 Rambus Mods)
GeForce FX 5200 128
WinXP (Firewalls are on if that matters any)
I do have a Net Card that is currently disabled so dont know if that throws anything off.
Also the server and game are going on the same 20 gig hardrive that is blazing at UATA 100 and at 5200rmp

Comp may seem little low on specs but i only will experience graphix lag, but no connection lag!

Once again Good luck and post if you run into bumps or want some other info. Dont know how close this could be to a Lan setup but mix and match and make something work i suppose.
