Default overthere.s3d problem

Yeah,um,I lost my old everquest folder....and I'm trying to load the cd back up....but after 68% done,it says it encountered a problem with the file overthere.s3d.....can anyone help?

You could try just running everquest.exe (assuming it has installed that from the CD), then the patcher might download the missing files for you.

umm....I cant finish the CD download......I put the cd in the driver,I then after a few minutes,start the file transfer,but after it finished only 68% of the transfer,it said "error with file name: overthere.s3d,please try to restart the cd download...I DID that,and i appeared again..


to make a long story short,the file couldnt dowload anything,not even everquest.exe.

Well look in your temp files man or the install dir the files will be there until you press ok then the prog auto deletes them all you have to do is copy them
I am not sure witch Dir it is in but look around but don't hit ok when it gets to 68% look for the files and just copy them i hope this helped
Cuz i had the same prob with my luclin disks thats how i fixed it

Been a while since I checked my CD's, but check the .cab files for everquest.exe and just extract it to a dir you want to run EQ from and then just run the exe.

Use winace or WinRAR to browse/extract the .cab files.

I think the .Cab files are Enxrypted i think but they might not be if they are on the frist disk cuz i know they are on the luclin disks

Forgive the Pun lol i had to work that in :lol:

right....lesse....I manage to get it all loading up...but it cant find

'smackw32.dll'

and it cant find a proccdure point thing.

What to do?
