Default What Are The System Requirments for an EQEMu World Server?

I was just wondering what the minimum system requirements are for running a public World server/Zone servers.

I happen to have a small linux box that I can hook up at work (I work at a web hosting company, plenty of bandwidth) and was wondering if it would be enough.

It's a 400MHz Intel Pentium with 192MB RAM and 40GB HDD.

from personnal exp, should be just enough for running half a dozen zones.

Don't put too much mobs in your zones for a start, should be ok.

I ran server on 500mhz/192MB but was using win2k. Also, was running 5+sunset home and mysql on same box. Could not hold more than about 3 people stable. I am on cable w/ upload of about 220KB/s. Soon to have linux box up and going, much less overhead.

Thanks for the response! Guess my hopes of getting a public server are pretty much shot until I can come up with some better hardware. . . :(

Oh well, I'll just keep playing on GW and messin' around with my private server until then!
