UMmm.. yea like when i join a server.. and i make a character.. it takes me back to the character selection screen and the new character doesn't show up.. even if i log out reboot and try again same damn thing.. i mean WTF is up with this shit.. AND NO I DID NOT PATCH SO DON'T SAY THAT IS WHY.....but i have been playin emu for along time now.. and i have no clue wtf the problem is SO PLZ HELP ME FOR God's sake.. Thank you please come again! :!:

does that happen on every server or just 1 server?

The servers running the newer code (5.7DR2/3) only work with clients patched within a certain time frame, if you haven't played for a month or so, it may be that your EQ client is too old to work with them. Just a thought. If you have successfully connected in the last two or three weeks, then that is probably not your problem, I can't remember exactly what date patches the 5.7DR2/3 servers work with.

I may be inncorrect but I belive DR3 is good for 5-12-04 to 5-17-04

i was playing this morning and all last night lol.. i got kicked.. from a server ( LD ) and when i relogged and entered the eq emu and joined the server.. it wouldn't let me in so i was like WTf.. so i went to another server.. and made a new char.. then the char didn't show up so i was like .. wtf...... so i rebooted thinking my comp might be a little bugged.. and still same thing happening 3 hours later...

I have had this problem before, it means your Everquest client (eqgame.exe) is not up to date with the server software. I upgraded my server to a newer version and had this problem, then I patched and it worked fine.

how am i suppose to Patch when They SAid Not to...??? should i patch... and like make a copy of my eq directory ?

I wouldn't recommend patching.

You can't play the character you had already created on the other server?

before attempting this I would backup your everquest folder. After that is done, patch to live then put your backed up eqmain.dll file from the backed up everquest folder into the newly patched folder. That should work If not, no harm done, you have a backed up fold of eq that really wasnt working for you anyways.
