It will probably take quite a while to FULLY replicate EQ live, but MW SQLs are getting closer to it. But why would you want to play EQ Live clone when there are complete custom servers where you get to experience EQ completely differently?

well, personally i like the Eq live servers. its just i dont play that often anymore and dont think it would be worth the 12.99 or whatever it is now since i play so little..

no. simple as that. at most maybe 60%

and thats just spawns and pathing. quests are well. not even 15%

the difficulties are brought up by things that have to be coded, like quests, certain events (i.e. Ring event in GD) and even discs. Familiars and pets only work in a limited way.
There's a lot of stuff to be done :/

Ya know, i used to play eqemu as my akternative to EQLive ... i had that same attitude about it not being worth 12.99 a month to play, but after a while of bouncing back and forth between EQEmu and EQLive im starting to really enjoy the amount of customized content on alot of servers, so it usually makes for a fun experience when EQLive isnt working (I play on Prexus so this is about every 45 seconds or so) or when i just cant find a group =P

This is a place where people customize EQ the way they want it to be, so its NOT like live. there is not one server that is "just like live" there are several servers that are custom versions of live ( able to get to LV 130, zones connect diferently ect )

If you want live play live if you want a new experience play EQEMU

this can be considered "free eq".. but its really not, because theres no servers that even come close to emulating sony's EQ.. most are custom content that use live's models, zones, abilities to make their own world

and to just play on the servers you dont need to get anything (except maybe backpatches.. but we cant tell you where to get them).. you could try following the many FAQs

If you are looking for an exact replica of live, don't play EQEmu. After all, what's the fun of copying Sony? People like to use creativity here

Whitmere: You cannot get EQ from here, no. This is only serverside stuff that the serverops will run to allow you to play on their server. If you don't have EQ, I'm sorry to hear that, but you'll have to purchase it from SoE. If you can't afford it, you're simply out of luck. There may be other ways of getting EQ legally(from SoE), but that I know of, we're not allowed to even link to them.

You'll have to do some research elsewhere if you want to get ahold of EQ(and please do it legally!).

or you could just go to www.iamstupidanddontfollowrules.com and download it for free since they give it away for free there if you just sign up.
