Default Can I install perl?

Now that I got my private server working, was wondering if it would mess things up if I install perl program now. I went by spikes tutorial, which doesnt have the perl walkthrough like Malignus'. I want to implement quests now that I know it's working.

Yep. Go right ahead and install Perl; it won't affect your server. Though you will need to use the perl-enabled build of 6.0-DR2 (or, alternatively, build a perl-enabled build from source... which is not likely to work right now) in order for perl quests to work. Be sure to follow Malignus' tutorial on installing Perl - and don't forget to fetch IO::Scalar before you start the server up.
