Class / Race
Are classes and races hardcoded in the client or would it be possible to edit them? Always thought it would be cool to have a skeleton race =P

That would be an awsome idea! Make your own class/race, hehe. Assign differant types of spells to a differant class. Wonder if its possible to make your own race and keep the other races....

I do believe stuff like ability buttons are hardcoded depending on class... and the wording in the start.
Race is fairly simple though. You couldn't make a skeleton selection, but you could make it something in-game.

using commands in game, i believe you can become any race/class combo you like.

I know about the #race and #class and the permanent versions, but what im asking is would i be able to change or add a race and still be able to equip items =P

in game you can change race , not sure about class , and you cant make a player new class or race that does not have a global model , buttons are hard coded depending on the class/race you choose at the beginning , so I think its not possible

btw if picking non global model charactor you could get random kickouts from server when going to zone that dont support it.

Skeletons are global too =p think about necromancers pets. And spectres to. But you could do it.. you can add it.. see you would do racenumber^2 and that would be the number for that race on the items. It's pretty complicated to explain, but it IS possible. (just you couldn't have it show like SKL =P

Quest Troupe+ can #permarace, #permaclass, and #perma Gender if that's the command you are all speaking of.

IF your combination Race/Class...
You can use EQAdmin tool to change your class.
I have a Dark Elf Ranger
And a Human Shaman

The only trouble with non-standard race/class combinations is that most class-specific items can't be used by them due to race restrictions (this also seems to be the case with Halfling and Gnome SKs, Rangers and Paladins, since most items for those classes were collected before those races were allowed to be them)

with eqadmin .. just edit the item and add the new race.
