Default Client crashes

I did the 6 steps of the players guide, but when i click on the shortcut, a message comes up saying "we recommend you download video drivers 8185." I currently have the drivers recommended by the eq websites. I click launch anyway and the game crashes. I don't know if i don't have something installed or how the emulator works. is anyone else experiencing this. I have titianium and i have not patched yet.

First, don't patch...ever. If you patch, you will have to un- and reinstall the 5 disks of lovin' that are Titanium. Don't do it.

Second, that message is only relevant until the end of 2005. If your video drivers are older than that, then heed the warning, if they're newer, an unpatched client isn't going to have up-to-date version info. So chances are, an updated video driver isn't causing the crashing just because you're not at such-and-such version.

That being said, you didn't specify here what video card and driver version you were using. If you did, others with the same video card might be able to tell you what driver version's working fine for them. Then you could follow suit.
