The Windows_Install_Guide.txt file describes how to create your eqlogin.gotfrags.com account. The account you create there will only remain active for 15 minutes. If you don't login within 15 minutes, then you should return to the gotfrags.com website and re-authorize your login. As a reminder, the web site for that is http://eq.gotfrags.com:443

Other than registering at gotfrags, you just have to modify your eqhost.txt file in the EQ directory to point to "eqlogin.gotfrags.com:5999". You also must run EQ using either eqw (http://eqw.eqhackers.com/ ) or the following command from a DOS prompt:
eqgame patchme (for Win9x/ME)
eqgame.exe patchme (for Win2k/XP)

It's fairly easy to miss a step or to misinterpet a step.

Before anyone can help you though, we need to know where you are in the installation process.

Do a piece at a time and check your results.

Here are the pieces:

1. connecting your client to the login server through gotfrags
2. setting up mysql database
3. set up for minilogin
4. run minilogin
5. run world
6. run boot5zones batch file (edit if you are using two machines)

for step 1, you don't even need to run server stuff.

I gave you an outline of things to set up, now you tell me where in the outline you are having problems.

I won't do it through msn messenger because there is too much pornography there, but I will make an effort and use the chat here. Then I can help you and anyone else that needs step-by-step help.

Default db setup

are you refering to drawde's spawn data? or the default tables? Either way anways they should be similar

you just open mysql.exe and type this

source db.sql ( or the name of the sql file, drawde's is dbdump.sql )

I'm not sure if that answers you question deadman but that's my 2 cents worth.
