db to xml

Anyone have an example of how I could convert the blob data (profile, items, any of it) to xml or even plain text?

Here's how we did it in php.. Look at the items or profil display, basiclly have to manually extract all the fields out by hand, no nice, easy mass coverter...

Not very hard though..
