Default Quantum Syndicate.

I've edited the post and cleaned things up a bit and put more information in the post... Sorry for the edit. - Also let it be known I suck at lore, and stuff like that, however explaining what the server idea is, is a good idea... So here's a little back story to go along with it...

Quantum Syndicate;

Lore; You are in a state of purgatory, your goal is obtain your final resting ground, should it be Balance.... or Hatred (Names subject to change), only you can decide.

Backstory; The last thing you remember is laying down in your bed... You soon were awoken in a room, standing in front of you is a Frost Demon named "Pygrath" he informs you that you have been slain and are now in a state of purgatory, a 'pre-trail' if you will. Upon speaking with Pygrath again, he informs you that there are three trials you must pass in order to gain access to your final resting spot. (Balance - Hatred*Names are subject to change).
Reaching your first trial you see a familiar face... A friend perhaps? He informs you he feels as if his spirit is lingering and can't break free. After you agree to help Yanse he sadly tells you that you will have to slay him, or his 'projection' to free him.
Completing your first trial, Pygrath asks if you enjoyed the kill, obtaining an answer was difficult as it was your friend, but you did feel closer to your faction...
What happens next? Come find out.

Custom Content;
  • 4 Classes to start - More to be unlocked through learning the lore of that class, (up to 16 classes).
  • Complete Custom Spells//Discs
  • Completely customized boss fights (No more tank and spank).
  • Custom Zones
  • Slightly more customized AA
  • All Race//All allowed classes(Sadly no Ogres with Robes though it's a tunic. =/).
  • Custom Loot -- Unidentified Plate Armor turns into 1 of 8 things. There are other ways of obtaining items should you not wish to fate RNG, they just require crafting.
  • Rare Spawns in every zone.
  • Random Drops in every zone.

Elaboration on Classes and why we are 'locking' them.

In every normal MMO you are normally given 4 options, a Tank, a Healer, a Wizard, and either a Rogue or an Archer(something melee//ranged dps that isn't purely magic).

Taking from that idea we figured with a server set up much like this (where you start out in a state of neutral-ness and either becoming extremely evil and unlocking a Reaver class or becoming good and unlocking a Gladiator! They would be in theory the same type of class, (while these are not actual classes we have implemented, was merely spit balling an idea). How to obtain these said classes would be pretty easy, you get to your hub zone look around and see something like Reaver_Galio, normally (at least me), I hail everyone in the zone and see if they have a point or not in this case, he would.

No that's not saying there will only be 1 per faction extra, we could have 4 different classes for Balance and Hatred(NSTC), and to 'unlock' each of them you have to live their lives, learn how they hunt, learn how they heal, learn how they avoid combat by sneaking, ETC. It will most likely be like progressing in a tier zone... Get there kill bosses for things, return those items to the NPC, the more you do, the more he trusts you, and go from there.

As I often say -- Either play it or don't. That's your choice...

We will be updating this post and our forums//server page as time goes on. Once we're live for Alpha we hope to see at least some people in!

EDIT; Yes, I know I haven't put up our website - Yes there is a reason for this we haven't gotten it completed. =P

I felt like I needed to explain why the servers were shut down, that's all that was.

Now now... Just because I cut it down to 4 classes doesn't mean the CC and pulling won't be apart of it, in fact! There are plenty of pulls where it requires CC in order to complete the fight.

I honestly laughed, really hard when I read this, and I don't know why... May be my server idea, but it wasn't my server name =P Heh. I honestly suck at coming up with names hence Mittens... Or Nerdgasm, lol.

I do thank you for posting, I will actually go ahead and update my main post with more information on the server.
