Default Wandering Monster DB?

Hi all, I am a newbie in using this emu.
I have a question in my mind.Now, I have set up my server.
I have also added that 3.1 add on to sql database.
But still the spawns in the game are not moving at all.
What is wrong here?
I know one should code something in order to make the spawn move in one's eq server,however is there any way to make use of others premade database so that spawns would be able to wander in the world just like the real eq server?

I wonder if you can also tell me the verson of data base I need and in which order should I install them.

Thanks alot, I will keep watching this post in these few days.
Please help!

Spawns arent coded to roam right now... something about memory usage, etc. There's other threads in the forums that talk about that.

As for databases: Use the 3.11 db and the 3.11 addon. Should be all ya need if I recall right.

Suppose we cant make the spawn move, I would like to know why people want a more complete set of database then?
I am a bit disappointed.What can people do there with a world of stationary mobs???

Anyway, my other question is the mob will not aggro with me.
Is it really a problem? Or do I need to add anything so that mobs aggro player like the real eq server?

One more thing is whenever I create an account, the player still has the right to use #help to use any rights just like the administrator.Any way to limit the player rights?

Thanks alot! I m looking forward the answer!

Look into your Loginserver.ini. Change under [WorldServer] Defaultstatus= to Defaultstatus=10 or 20 or anything up to 200

If you look in the commands section of the EQEMU readme it stats all of the command levels a person loggin in can have, up to SysOp status which is 200. Level 20 will give the ability to use all the #findspell, #castspell, #zone etc...

Most of the setup docs need to include this info, but it simply slipped the persons mind when they wrote them. Maybe we can
help make a VERY complete, step by step version with all the small issues like this much more clear.

[LoginServer]
loginserver=eqlogin1.eqemu.net
loginserver2=eqlogin2.eqemu.net
loginport=5999
loginport2=5999
worldname=Name of server here
locked=false
account=
password=
worldaddress=Your IP Address here

[WorldServer]
Defaultstatus=20
Unavailzone=arena

[LoginConfig]
ServerMode=Standalone
ServerPort=5999
UplinkAddress=
UplinkPort=
UplinkAccount=
UplinkPassword=

Look in addon.ini for your player rights. If you set them all to 200 then only server ops can use them. Set them as you will as per the gm levels mentioned in the readme.

Faction is incomplete and likely has something to do with mob aggro, but not 100% sure on it. Someone else had asked about mobs assisting other mobs the other day, not sure if it was answered or not, search the forums a bit and see.

For mobs to aggro you have to not be a GM or above.

They can be creative and quit being disappointed. If that doesnt work, they can go play the other version of the emulator called EQLive, it has spawns, roaming mobs, and asshole GM's just to name a few things. Oh, and the best part...you get to pay $12 a month to play it.

I agree. Quite frankly, I think this server rocks considering it is in alpha. I am surprized we can even log into it and have ANY mobs or items. We should be thankful and just help the development process in any way we can.
