Default World DB 1.1 beta 2 plus quest addon 0.1

http://www.edwardpinniger.bctalk.net...ta1.1beta2.zip
http://www.edwardpinniger.bctalk.net...sts0.1beta.zip

The new DB addon fixes a very nasty bug (I'm surprised no-one mentioned it)
where NPCs from #3689 onwards would not be sourced properly, and therefore would not appear - this was caused
by an apostrophe in a name (Nestral T'Gaza). All 's are now changed to `s, fixing the problem.
There are also more loot tables, more merchant data, a few more NPCs plus various small fixes.

The quest addon is very unfinished (it's v0.1 after all) but includes scripts for soulbinders and
guildmasters (new characters can give them their note to get their guild tunic/robe) amongst others.

(edited to fix the filename typo)

The quest file downloads ok, but I get a 404 on the worlddata beta.

Sorry.. posted that whilst the files were uploading, then my FTP utility crashed so I had to upload them again.
They should both be up OK now.
You'll probably need to re-download the quest file since it was only partially uploaded the first time.

Any feedback? - Is it any good or not, and are there any major things that need fixing, or serious bugs? (other than the obvious ones like finished loot and merchant tables, and Velious+Luclin spawns!)
Another thing that really needs fixing is the Z values for many of the dungeons and underground zones, along with the many missing NPCs/mobs in them; I'm slowly fixing this, zone by zone, I've just done The Hole. Erudin Palace is another zone with serious Z problems but unfortunately I don't have a spawn log for it.

Hi Drawde,

I really love the work you've done, especially on the quests.

I'm currently in the process of one by one, converting your .qst files to match the npc id's of those in the 0.4.1 database.

Would you mind if I make this available when I'm finished?

Just out of interest, if/when I finish making the conversion, how would you feel about continuing on with the larger npc_types table from 0.4.1? I'd hate to have to do this conversion each time you release another package :P

Let me know.

Certainly, you can release the modified quests if you want, all of the stuff in my addon can be used/modified for your own DBs if you want.
However I'm not planning to incorporate the NPC data from Lurker's DB into mine, this is because I use a different system for the NPC data; I have a text file list of NPCs with their names, stats and locations, and have written a parser program (which you can download on my website, the current version is out of date but I'll upload a new one soon) to convert this data into a SQL script which can be loaded in by MySQL. This way when the NPC/spawn DB structs change I don't have to redo all my data from scratch, also it's MUCH easier than having to assign all the spawngroups manually.
I do eventually plan to add some Luclin NPC spawns to my DB, once I've got the old world and Kunark ones working fully.

Thanks Drawde, and fair enough I had to ask though.
