Errors when exec. World .exe

My world exe does come up but it gives me a shit load of errors like
Failed to connect to database: Access denied for user, using password yes and some errors like
erroe: error in getitems query and crap like that

also when i try the alternative

And if that does not help. Open mysql.exe ( found in c:\mysql\bin )
Type in: GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON *.* to '%'@localhost IDENTIFIED BY '%'; (press enter)
Close out of mysql.exe

it wont work, says enter password : no

You probably need to use

mysql <databasename> -uusername -ppassword

to get in.. you might have already set a password

YOu need to give that user privileges in the database.

Do a search on PRIVILEGES on the forums and you'll see about 100 threads discussing it. The pertinent text in the readme is correct.

Using password no sounds like you've already set a password via winmysqladmin, and you're either not using that one, or you've got a typo somewhere, you should be able to just mysql in if you havent set a password. Since you get that error message, you need to pass the username and password to the mysql.exe program to get in to alter the permissions.

Regardless, I'd verify that youre using the same password/username that is in the winmysqladmin screen

it now says its connected, least i made it somewhere..../sigh

Make sure you reload mysql server!! =) I JUST had this problem, and i was forgetting to reload after I made the changes! D'oh!

The readme did not say to use "127.0.0.1" in host. it says to use LOCALHOST.

fix db.ini and you will be fine hehe..

i'm sure this goes for LiquidRaven as well.
