I cant get past the character creation screen on any server

I patched after installing the trilogy and luclin then ran the eqemu patch cause the current patch from sony was too far ahead whenever i try to enter world on any server ive tried so far it just shuts down my eqw does anyone know what the problem could be any help would be appreciated thanks

Have you guys all patched very recently? What OS do you use? 98/ME/etc?

I think one problem would be that i totaly patched EQLive, I am using Win XP. PLEAAAASE HELP still happening, its liek it cant connect to the server. I get a black screen for about 30 seconds then an error message saying

eqgame.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.

Same problem here to.

I see an error stating no zones availble to log into.
But I don't see any error when loading zones.

I client is connecting to the server because everything is populated and all of my characters list show up I can create just cannot log in.

I will post all my information on errors and screen shots when home still at work. Now before my server did not say locked! Now it does! I flagged my character with an account of 200 in Mysql but I still don't get past character creation. Hopefully my information will help once posted.

Both my systems are runing Win2k Pro, both have invidia geforce2 pro video/ 1.4GH AMD, 768MB ram in the server/ 1.2GH AMD, 512MB ram in the client. No firewall between the two! local lan. Running a DMZ host on a linksys Cable/DSL router not that it matters for this part.

I patched just yesterday. And am running 98se. My original porst was "1017 not new but troubling" or some thing to that effect. It has all my info in it if any one wishes to view it and help me.

Perhaps you guys could just join guys like me in waiting for the new release of EQEMU. I've been waiting 3 months. It can't be much longer than another 3 months.

I can't get patcher to work right (okay, I'm trying to play in Linux; sue me). I figured I'd just wait for them to finish up. What you guys might try is just studying the database. Learn everything possible about it, then figure out how to add content. If you can't participate, contribute.

If this advice seems like a bad idea to you, sorry! Patcher technically isn't supposed to work the way it does/did. Before patcher, we always had to wait if we patched EQ to live.

i am running 98se and i patched on april 15th. this seems like an issue that enough people are having to take strong note of.

I have pretty much the same problem, except once it finishs "loading world" it attempts to goto char select screen but goes pitch white and crashs.

If by "strong note of", you mean work on developing the next eqemu, then you are correct. Hogie's primary focus will probably be that, and not problems with the patcher.

Is their something either in the admin tool or someplace that I can confirm that my zones are running?
I ran the boot 5zones.bat file with no errors that I could see.

I just don't know where or what to look at to make sure my zones are running. Looking in the admin tool under zones. I must admit I am confused on what information to put in here! or what information should be in here! in regards to zones.
