Default #reloaditems feasability?

Similar to #repop, or something.... Would reloading the items from the database while the server is running totally ruin everything, or is it possible? .... Or what if it just did one item at a time, eg. #reloaditem 5000.

The reason I ask is because I'd like to see more ability to do world-development from inside EQ itself, rather than needing outside tools, then restarting the server after each change, etc..

There are atleast two commands designed to edit items, reloading the whole db would be a pain in the ass.. and there could be problems with adding items depending on win/linux/win memshare/linux memshare.. big hassle..
