Where is heading in database, for zoning?

I'm trying to fix navigation across Norrath. Is heading saved when you zone from one zone to another, or is it a field in database like xyz coords for zone.

For example, I'm zoning from Kithicor to West Commons. Is the server supposed to save my direction, so that I'm facing that way when I zone into wcommons? Or is it a field in database, like the xyz coords that you zone to?
