If we had any idea what this was about, maybe, but probably not right now. We need more info, like, what program you were running.

I have the same issue. I just got set up today and ran patch.exe. It was actually patching and saying it was ready to go faster than I could click on the "Run EQ" thing in options. After a few tries I got to click on "Run EQ" before it finished patching, but I then I got the Run Time Error 53.

Ah, just got it working, had to install directly into the EQ directory, not eq/patcher
