Default ERROR: 1045 - Begging For help Here!

When I type -
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON *.* to '%'@localhost IDENTIFIED BY '%';

I get ......

ERROR 1045: Access denied for user: '@127.0.0.1' <using password: no>
mysql>

Now what I have done is instead using the 4.4 db from http://www.eqemu.com/Guide.htm that I was getting mass errors from so I went in IRC chat and got with Dread and he gave me a link for a NEW db which I downloaded and I actually am at step 7 outa 10 so Im further than before.

Heres the link -

Whats causing this error?

Also World.exe opens at this time and gives me mass errors over a 1 second period then closes before I can read the arrors. I do not know if this is because I have YET to finish all 10 steps and am trying to open it before its ready. Looking for help PLEASE!

Everyone loaded and installed PERFECTLY. I finished set up and close it out. I click on world.exe and it opens, and closes in 1.1 seconds. I see what appears to be errors in the exe but cant read because it closes to fast.

I click on load5zones and it opens like 15 boxes and on the last one has text thats crolls in it, I see the word error in there several times but that also closes to fast for me toread.

Need help here someone BAD.

PS: All my user names and passwords match up in my files etc and I am running Windows XP pro on acable connection (ethernet)

I also noticed this

In mysql on the environment page in the LARGE box it says driver 3.51 not found, its been there from the begining, that might be relevant also

Open a dos (command prompt) window change directories to your eqemu dir then type world.exe the window will then stay open when world exits and you can read what it said.

ideas:
- did you setup db.ini?
- is the mysql DB running? The winmysqladmin app with a green light means it is.
- other than that see what the world.exe app says

FYI the zones will never run right if there isn't a world for them to connect to.

I was able to get world.exe running while using an earlier version of mysql. Ever since I downloaded 4.0.12 and 4.0.13, world.exe crashes 1 second after loading. I'm using Windows XP.

if world.exe is crashing after you run it 90% of the time it is because you have an error in your permissions or your accounts for the database, so thats where you should look.

OK, I followed the steps for getting the 4.4 database and everthing I sourced in mysql.exe worked. I loaded up world.exe and *gasp* it didn't close on me. Instead, I got error 2006. I tried using the GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES fix from one of the topics, but I get error 1044 saying access denied for user: '@127.0.0.1' to database 'eq'

What do I need to change and fix for world.exe to load without this error?
