since the patcher is down there is another way of getting on.
steps:
1.go to your start menu
2.click run
3. type this:
"C:\Program Files\Everquest\eqgame.exe" patchme
include parenthesis's and the patchme at the end type it exactly as it is
this will only work if you patched the EQEmu with Patcher and didnt unpatch EQEmu. dont patch EQLive or you wont be able to get back on until the EQEmu patcher is back up or if you find some alternate way of getting the files
this will only work if you patched the EQEmu Patcher and didnt unpatch it. dont repatch EQLive or you wont be able to get back on until the EQEmu patcher is back up
How do you patch the EQemu patcher? And how do i know i didn't repatch EQlive?
this will only work is you used the EQEmu patcher before it went down and didnt patch EQLive again. if you repatched EQLive it means you opened up Everquest.exe and logged onto the Live server (ayonae ro for example).
also if the run command wont work for you, you can also run EQEmu by EQW. it allows you not to patch to get onto EQEmu. also if you patched EQLive try changing your EQHost files back. the correct EQhost file can be found in the Readme on the main site
I replaced the host file on the Readme page and now I can get in to login servers but im getting 1017...fix for that is to repatch or something...am i screwed? what files do i need
I think I know why, for all those that still get the error while running C:\everquest\eqgame patch me (or whatever location you have it set in) This is my theory, I think you did not patch EQlive to the latest patch.....After that you would have to back up the files like Krusty was sayin...There is a way to do that, Im on the brink of figuring it out Just need a little bit more time but I will post it
Another problem of mine~I am tryin to patch EQ to the latest patch but when I click on _verquest or Everquest it says Everquest.exe has a problem Any ideas? Im a window XP pro user and does it matter that I have not done the vpatch.exe?
