Do not ask about/comment on/hint around/think about, the EQEMu Patcher in the IRC channel, Forums, Private Messages, Emails, AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo! Messenger, ect. You will be BANNED FOR LIFE.

Asking about howto get files other than patcher...? BANNED FOR LIFE.

Joe, it's been said hundreds of times. Jesse has to have seen it 50 times. I know he KNOWS not to talk about it. Even kidding around, he's directly disobeying what this topic is about. I don't see why you're defending him.

If you check many of his recent posts, it's clear that he knows NOT to do that, and still he does it. All this is done despite the very clear instructions.

and you do realize it's gonna get worse and worse unless the new client is released soon

I guess this is why you're scaring people into not talking about it with threats of banning, and I thought you guys were better than sony

Joe, be patient. Everyone was patient before this, and they will continue to be patient. Waiting 1 month was NOTHING before. 3 months is a long time. After 3 months, then complain. Until then, just relax. The devs are working harder than ever. People don't seem very scared to me, and I doubt many bannings have occurred yet.

Calling them less than Sony may have been intended as an insult, but it's true. How many devs exist at Sony? Oh, just a few more? These guys may have a guideline over where to go with their code, but it's still code that needs to be written. This takes time. Merth figured out a major block, and they already have an alpha server of current patches if you want to observe. Go check it out.

Drop it. Be patient. Relax. I waited 3 months last time, and I'd gladly wait another 3 months. So don't say that it's easy to be patient when you have access; I've had it both ways. General patience shouldn't depend on situation. Frustration should grow slowly in all situations unless major trauma has occurred.

Anyway, Jesse has "just kid" about it twice already. It shouldn't happen after his first warning. Bannings are supposed to be immediate and he's had two warnings.

ok they need to address this on the front page that

1)while you can reserve your username and password for FUTURE use on eqemu, that right now you cant log in since the patcher is down

2)take the damn link to the patcher off the site period

3)just let people know upfront that EQEmu is basically broken till they get the new cllient out

but all they can do is, "don't talk about it or get banned" or "im gonna make a new patcher that logs everyone's everything about them"(paraphrasing here)

this is just not the approach to take, can we atleast agree on that, if it was up to me I would do the above 3 things, and try to tell people, without any attittude, that the server that holds the files can no loger serve those files due to legal reasons that we'd rather not run into, so we decided to take it down and comply with sony's wishes and we are working with a new version of eq emu that runs with the newest version of the game, this way we won't be the ones who will be sending files to anyone, sony themselves will

see, thats how "I" would have hendled it, btu instead we get threats of banning, and it's not wether or not they've banned or will ban anyone over this, it's just the tacgtic used, that's what gets undr most people's skin

is what I said above that hard to comprehend/implement

ok not to b a complainer or anythin but y did u take it down in the first place i had fun playing it and y do u say "I'll gladly wait 3 months when u have access to it i mean y did u take down patcher in first place?games r ment to have fun not to be fought over plz cant everyone just get along and just PLAY have fun im really sick of seeing ppl fight we r supposed to have fun......and r there any juggalos that play this?i wanna talk about the new twiztid album called the GREEN BOOK!!!have fun and i hope this all gets settled
