Default In search of Knowledge

I've been reading the forums for a while and have been patiently waiting the arrival of 5.0. I've had some grand ideas of changing alot of things to make the game more single player based, but then i realized i have no experience programming/coding at all, so my ideas would be pretty much impossible to achieve. I was hoping someone experienced could point me in the right direction of anything that could help like websites/books etc.

Some of the things i was hoping for was....
Creating hybrid classes ie. Ranger/Enchanter or Warrior/Necromancer, basically giving a single class the ablities of 2 like keeping the hp/ac of a warrior and the spells/specializations of the enchanter. In addition to creating hybrid classes(if this is possible), unlocking class options that are not available ie. Dark Elf Rangers or Ogre Paladins.
Scaling down difficulty of mobs so that they can actually be soloed by a character that is even conned, like having a lvl 55 character actually be able to solo a lvl 55 mob, with great difficulty, but making it possible.
Increasing regeneration rates for all characters, perhaps percentage based like 5% of max hp every tick.
Lastly i was hoping it would be possible to increase exp gain like perhaps making the exp gained from mobs 1.5 or 2x more then eqlive.

If anyone can post stuff i can research or become familiar with to help me do these when 5.0 becomes available I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

Everything you have listed can be fairly easily achieved, except for one: The hybrid classes.

The others involve changing values in the database and using the various 3rd party tools. You'll have to play around with your own server to figure these out.

The hybrid classes would require a fair amount of coding experience, but it can be done. The level of difficulty involved for it is not something that can be taught from a "Learn XYZ in 21 Days" type book. Basically, if you're capable of doing it, you wouldn't be asking how :P

What i got merth from his post was that he was interested in the future to be able to do those sort of things and wanted to find the background information neccesary to get on the right path. I would also like to know where to start so i can help in the future. Just wondering what books/codes i should learn to be able to do this sort of thing. Well anywho thats my 2 cents, any reply is welcome.

Sorry for my lack of reply, live on the east cost and had a nice little power outage...anyway what superman1 pointed out was what i meant. I have alot of time on my hands and learning a little coding could fill it up, perhaps eventually be able to actually put it to use. But thanks for the reply. One last question though, looking through the ToDo list and other posts, i see alot of things being worked on for 5.0, it seems all to good to be true, but what i'm curious about is what features will it will not support that is supported by live. But to all the devs excellent work and i can't wait to try out the finished producted.

Well the general idea as an emulator is to have all the features sony's servers do. As for hybrid classes, don't hold your breath these are built into the client. So your war/nec would never have a spell book ect, if you got the other way you get spells but client data won't show up right, for instance armor class is calculated by the client, thus it'd say 1000 on the server and 650 on the client ect.
