Ok I was thinking of hosting a server on a t1 connection, could anyone provide me with the files that I need to download. Most the how too's are outdated somewhat? Also I was thinking of useing the moveing database but looks like he isnt working on it anymore and that his files are taken down. Any other DB that are complete that I could use? Thanks in advance
0.5.0 has not yet been released, so there are no binaries to download. We are currently in "developer release" mode, which means if you can't compile it yourself, then you can't run it.
The sticky in the howto forum for how to run a server is current (and has a recent timestamp), so I'm not sure which guide you are referring to.
Yeah Merth is right, ATM EMu 0.5.0 can only be gotton by compiling the CVS source. Also, you may want to wait for 0.5.0 DR3, because that will (hopefully) run with LDoN. But if you are running windows and dont feel like spending lots of money on Microsoft's dev software so you can compile (there is also probably an open source alternative, but I have trouble compiling the DR's on Linux, it would be a nightmare on windows I imagine) So if you like you can use 4.4, but it wont run if you have patched EQLive recently (as in before december)
