Is there a way to get real numbers from EQ? I know that many times my 56k connection dies on zoning and for some logins. In particular I have serious problems with bazaar and pok.
I assume my connection dies because my ISP is only giving me much less than the 56k, but I don't know the numbers.
I am working on the concept of a MUD brick, a 3D virtual environment that includes multiple CPUs, and some sort of bandwidth calculations.
Right now I am targeting for a 32 user system that can handle N zones. But I need some rough numbers such as:
for M users (minimum 32) some X bits/sec bandwidth,
minimum number of zones probably M (assuming a person in each zone), and some number of CPUs (for multiple server environments), or a basic CPU processor speed/user.
If this doesn't make sense, then I really need help with the concept.
