i crash to desktop when i login into world

hello
i have a problem. everytime i try to connect to a 4.4 server i get kicked to desktop. the other day i patched to 5.0 and i used eqfix to get back to 4.4 and it stopped working. i used this eqfix before and it worked well and now i get kicked to desktop. can somebody please help me?

P.S: please dont tell me to search i did and found some stuff like this but in 5.0, so dont tell me to go search . thank you

aww crap.
i used a old eqfix that has worked before. the eqfix did get me back to 4.4 but the the problem is the crashings i get once the loading is complete after i click the play button

people who patch to live can NOT use any fix to use 4.4, I tried 5 diferent "Fixes" from different sources and NONE of them work anymore.

good thing i have backups EQ usable with 4.4 on 3 diferent computers =)

sorry if i did anything . but how am i gonna get my self banned. i havent done anything. the eqfix isnt a problem the problem is with the connecting to a server. i am still getting crashed to desktop after i press the play button. <-- that is what i need help with. just forget everything i said about eqfix. i just want to get to play on the 4.4 servers and thats is it.

The reason your crashing is BECAUSE you used EQFix and it DOSE NOT work.

I myself reinstalled Everquest like last week and patched to live, thinking i could roll-back, no problem. I was able to but i had the same problem crashing before it got to character select screen. I check the dbg.txt, nothing there. Then i check UIError.txt and it had problems with the UI skins. I tried messing around with old skins, luclin skins, and all that, but i had to fall back on using the old UI. So to solve your problem . . . Go into your eqclient.ini and make:

NEWUI=FALSE

That should do it, you will be able to play, but no new UI. Lately i have been having problems with zoneline boundaries, and it started doing that when i reinstalled, so I think SOny messed that up as well. Post what happens. Oh yah, and DR3 sounds like the win.

wow thanks a lot it worked. but i the UI is the one from eq tutorial but as long as it works its good thank you a lot

If You change to at least 800x600 , you can press F10, and youll have a sorta better lookin UI, its the opaque black one. I use that and i am used to it already. You wont miss the new UI after a while, and btw , the old UI has /hitsmode if you play melee.

Dude there is soooo many errors out there just go to IRC and chat to someone about it or something I dont think ull get a direct answer to this just try to uninstall and re-install whateva u got btw theres a HUGE difference between 4.4 and 5.0

Do NOT go to IRC till you have read the forums and searched for the error then posted here for an answer.
