Default Black Models/ Grey Backround

I play on live servers, a friend of mine was telling me about this so i thought i would check it out. I made a new folder and follwed the directions to install and run. It runs fine except all charector models are pitch black and the backround of the game is all grey. I dont have discs to reinstall does anyone know what might be wrong?

Is it everywhere, or just a specific zone?

You can try searching here. Lots of hits on graphics glitches. Like this one: http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/showthread.php?t=21873

Personally Ive found that the glitch is inherrant to GoD zones. Try this.

Go to your Everquest folder and find eqclient.ini .

Under [Defaults] add the line :

HardwareTNL=False
(or just change it to false if it's set to True)

Now close and save eqclient.ini

Restart everquest , and bingo.

It worked for me , and everyone else Ive helped with it. Hope it works for you as well.

Sure that works, but don't you lose something by not having HardwareTNL=true? I honestly haven't witnessed a change, nor seen this in EQLive (except occasional oddities with Advanced Lighting).
