Question Can some one give me some advise on servers and info

I tink i will begin playing eq on a server and need some answers.
first of all if i play on a server and want to switch to another one can i just switch the server port and the other on the txt file or do i have to reinstall eq?

now about servers. in a server how many players is there because if there is like 30 players on 1 server its stupid because you wont be able to se anyone and comunicate.

i want a server with most nice people and as many people as posible so i can meet many. the other ting is that i want a server that is like the original game not a server that is changed much like 5x xp. but i dont mind if the server is changed a little.

there is no need to switch the port # in the text doc. all you have to do is pick a different server from the server list, there is no need for a fresh install. Secondly alot of the servers don't have big populations but some do, mainly the recomended servers and a few standard. There's plenty to choose from. You can choose a classic sort or a completely non-legit. You probably are looking for "The Grand Creation" server. A few changes but not too many.

follow the how to connect guide on the wiki to connect.

Make sure you have an unpatched install of Titanium.

No server has anywhere near the player base of live, 50 people is a lot on an eqemu server.

If you play on a server that has customized zones, those are the places you will see most people playing. So, they aren't spread out all around the world. You will actually run into people pretty regularly in the higher population (50ish) custom legit server as long as you are in the custom zones.

Due to the nature of the emulator and accounts being free, a large portion of the player-base will play multiple characters at the same time so they can handle harder stuff by themselves. This means that some of them might not want to group with other people.

The emulator is definitely fun. I would recommend trying a few servers before you pick one to stay on for good. You can tell which ones are the most popular by seeing which ones have higher player counts. If they only have 0 or 2 players on them, they probably aren't that great yet. If they have 20+, they should be worth a shot. Obviously some people find them fun hehe.
