cant connect

i tried stuff from these three threads:

one
two
three

but when i try to connect to a server on the same machine
in everquest i get cannot establish connection to the server


any ideas?

I tell everyone, break it down it simple steps. What can you do and what does it look like when you can't get to the next step.

Three configurations:
1. client-only to gotfrags login server, select any server
2. local minilogin, connect through you own login
3. use login server gotfrags but connect to you own server

so which one can you do and which one or ones can't you do?

i can do client only to gotfrags

i cant do 2 and 3

Make sure your loginserver.ini is pointint to 127.0.0.1 instead of getfrags, and make sure your eqhost.txt is using 127.0.0.1 for the login and reg servers instead of the getfrags server. You can only use eqemu/eqemu as the id/password to login through the miniserver.
