Default Question regarding NPC Names format.

Hi,

I have noticed that some names have this character: "#"(e.g #Arias) in the npc_types table.

What is this character used for in the name of an NPC?

I have read from top to bottom the following page http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka...egoryCreateNPC, but it does not say anything regarding this.

I remember I read something regarding this but I can not find it.

Thanks in advance for any links related to this information any of you can provide me.

Ivancho

I think that's used to differentiate between same-named npcs (for quests scripts for example).

Yeah, it can be used for same name NPC, or numbers can also be used at the end of the name to do that as well. Mostly, the # just normally signifies that it is a named NPC. It can make it easier for you to tell which NPCs are named or not for managing a zone's content for loot tables and such.
