Default Client Issue!

Hey guys, I just got my new computer, it's Windows 8 and the client is getting an error when I try to open it, the client frame flickers a few times then I get an error, I can't seem to ALT+TAB into my browser for some reason, but does anyone know any reason why this would happen? I will try to provide the specific error code later, thanks! Bye!

It says there's a problem at referenced memory '0xfffffffc', the other number alternates between several things, it changes almost every time I open the client, can someone please help? I want to be able to connect to the EQ Emu server on Windows 8. D:

I have been told it may be because of the fact I don't have DirectX 9.0c, but Windows 8 doesn't support this version, is there anyway to get around this? Thanks for the feedback though, any help is greatly appreciated.

Fixed it! It was an issue with full-screen, had to put it in windowed mode and it runs great, thanks for the help though! Here's a tip: Windows 8 may have problems with the full-screen version of EQ, so you should use windowed mode!

i do know that eq runs fine full screen in windows 8 from posts i have read in other forums. for them it was video drivers causing issues. might try some google searches and see what comes up with any issues.
