Default Does any one know how...

...to find out what port a specific server is on? Note: This is for the pay-to-play EQ. There customer service wasn't very helpful and I figured someone here would know how.

Let me explain some stuff:

I am on campus and a recent patch made it so that I cannot log into my favorite server. A lot of other servers work, but a few give 1017 errors which, I was told, is a symptom of port blocking. The problem is the campus people won't unblock a port unless I can tell them specifically which one it is. All I know is that they run in the range of 1024 to 10000.

Any help would be most appreciated.

well as far as I know from looking at the EQ CS database that it is a random port as far as the client is conserned. thats why the tell you to open all ports between 1023 to 65335 or some thing like that

Hehe, thanks for the info but our network admin on campus got it working. He didn't do any port work, he just increased the bandwidth to the dorms and that did the trick.

Thanks for the info though!
