Default A Guide fer n00bs

Note: This is a guide to connect to existing servers
Disclaimer: Do this at your own risk.
Request: Plz correct anything that you see wrong here.
2nd Request: Don't flame me too much

Here we go:
1) Install EQ
2) Patch completely (this means you patch, and the click the thorough filecheck to make sure EVERY file you can get (optional, expansion files, etc.) is downloaded.
3) Replace eqhost.txt in your EQ directory with the one from this website RIGHT-CLICK HERE AND CLICK SAVE TARGET AS TO SAVE THE TXT FILE
4) Get EQWindows from HERE - YOU CLICK RIGHT HERE AND IT WILL DOWNLOAD A FILE THAT YOU NEED
5) Extract the Winzip file from Step #4 to your EQ directory, and you will later run EQ by double-clicking eqw.zip
6) Create an account HERE if you don't already have one - this account is your game and forum account.
7) Login as normal, select a server, create a character, start playing for 90 days straight, and when you hit level 65, stop.

-END-

PS: I bet I made a mistake somewhere

For some reason EQWindows didn't work for me, it gave me a 1002.
If this happens for anyone, go to the run panel, and put this in:

"C:\EverQuest\eqgame.exe" patchme

Change the directory if needed. Keep the quotes as is.
That got me on. =)
