Default world and zone seperate PCs - DSL+Cable

I got cable connection to see if it would help with eqemu hosting. But quess what only getting 100kb upload on the modem. Sooo , now I have a DSL with 100kb and a cable with 100kb upload.

I understand it is possible to have world run on one connection and zones on on the other?

I have had a lot of trouble with people getting booted from the zones as others are creating characters, or not getting in, maybe this would help save some bandwitdh by splitting the tasks for the next few months while i try the cable.

in this case:

World.exe Run on this PC
PC1-------->router---------> Dsl provider

Zones.exe Run on this pc with mysql
PC2 -------------------------> Cable provider

i setup as follows with no luck

[Database]
host=IP of Mysql database / PC2
user=user
password=password
database=eq

@echo off
start zone . IP of zones.exe / PC2 7995 IP of world PC1

[LoginServer]
loginserver=eqlogin1.eqemu.net
loginserver2=eqlogin2.eqemu.net
loginport=5999
loginport2=5999
worldname=DEFENDER-
worldaddress=IP of world / PC1
locked=false
account=
password=

I'm trying to accomplish something similar to mudman. I want to have my database on pc #2. The problem I'm having is mysql not accepting connection from a remote host. Anyone know offhand how to make it accept a remote connection to the database?

yea, you got to grant the privileges to user@ip instead of user@localhost...
