Default I have a problem running the GM commands. Please help!

reposted from general forumn

Ok..this is probably the wrong forum..but I didn't really think
the question really fit in the others....

I have my 0.4.3 server up and running on linux.
I did the world flag myaccount 200
I log in to the server....do a / all and I show up as having 200
Ok that's fine. It gives me what looks like GM info on players
when I do the / all

What I can't manage to do yet is any of the #commands
that are referenced in the command list.
Like Locking the server (Or ANY of em)
Some people did log into my server and said that it was working
for them when they did a couple of the level 0 # commands

When I try them however it tells me 'You are not in a group'
Anyone have any idea what I configured wrong ? (I presume it's
something in my client...)

Default GM Commands

I just installed 0.4.3 on a win2k server and i had the same problem.. Here's what i had to do to fix it.

Change your default chat channel to 'say'

thats it. it seems that in order for the command to be interpreted you have to actaully say the command. gsay or ooc or anyother channels and it doesnt seem to work. I dont know if this is how its supposed to work or not as i just learned about eqemu about 3 days ago, 2 of which were spent getting it working. But not that its working thats what i have to do in order to use any GM Commands. I hope this helps ya.
