Error installing everquest!! pls help

Hi
I quit EQ a while ago
and just found out about EQemu and it makes me want to play again.
I uninstalled the game when i quit and now when i try to install the everquest trilogy an error comes up saying "An installation support file could not be installed. Catastrophic failure"

At first i tohught it was a problem with my CD but than i borrowed a friends cd to install it and the same error came up so it must be my computer.

If anyone knows why this error is coming up and not letting me install EQ pls do tell. And if you know how to fix it that would be even better.thx very much.

Please give information like operating system and specs of pc and the like. The more information you give, the better we can home in on the problem

Try copying the files from the cd to your hard drive and install from there. Maybe that will help because I know of an issue with Shadows of Luclin where you had to do that.
