Default Servers for .5.0

Well like a good little newbie I waited for the Live and Eqemu to matchup so I could play. Now that I can actually get in to the game all the .5.0 servers are locked. So am I stuck waiting again or am I just missing something being a newb?

Thanks!

Aragorn,

Even though the .5 server can talk to the client from live, there is still a lot of work to get a server opened up. The ones youre seeing in the list are mainly developers testing. These servers have very limited content as content is low on the priority list while stability issues are worked out. Try to have a bit of patience it will be a while before a .5 server has content for players to enjoy. Youre welcome to hop on a test server and help to locate bugs, or can go to the sourceforge cvs, and get the latest code and work on helping to fix things. Thats pretty much the current status of the .5 "Developer Release"

Hope to see you in game soon

Thanks for the response and clarification. Just didn't know if I was missing anything or not. I think it is really kewl that you can buy the EQ software now and not have to pay a monthly fee. I really don't have the time to dedicate to a game to be paying a fee every month for it. I started researching CVS under windows so I could try installing a .5 server. Will take my time and be patient. ; - )

Thanks Guys!
