Default Setting up a 5.0 server...stuck on step 7

Using this as my guide : http://www.everquestserver.com/forum...pic.php?t=9648

Im at step 7...where you have to setup the compiler.

I dont have VS.net 2003.....do i need to go buy this just to make this server...or is there something else i can use as shareware or freeware that will do the same thing.

keep in mind im not very programmer smart....i hate programming, and this step by step guide is the only thing that would allow me to setup my own server...heh

(basically, if something breaks, i wont be able to fix it....programming wise)

Thanks for any help!

Read the news forum for the precompiled binaries. Everything you need is found in the forums.

The executable programs are available for download now, so you can get them and skip the compile,

Just pretend like you compiled the programs and continue from there

Ok....so far so good.....Im at step 15a now....the problem is, i dont have a wolrddebug.exe file in my build folder....or anywhere else on my comp.

Im thinking i missed a step, but im not seeing where it is.....

The only files i have in my newsource/build folder is:

addon.ini
boot5zones.bat
db.ini
loginserver.ini
spells_en.txt

(edit: i should add, i had to manually create the build folder to put those files in...the folder was not already there)

I just downloaded the 5.0 zip and it came with world.exe so i dont know where you 2 are getting your files. Look in the news section for the 5.0 relieced thread then download it from there. It has everything you need.
