Default Trying to get the hang of this

I just downloaded 0.3.0 and trying to fgure it out, I login and I see my server in the server list, when I try to connect It boots me back to server select each time. I can connect to other servers however.

Also how do I use all the GM commands, can I use them all? or do I have to set my level. Really trying to get the hang of it, also tried login, but the minilogin.exe was in the download.

Plz gimme a hand if anyone knows whats up

I'm not an expert or anything, but on my server, I was having same problem with choosing char and getting booted to Server Select. After pondering, I realized I have Win2k and need to do something with ZoneNT.exe, so what I did was started world.exe, booted up 5 zones, then executed ZoneNT.. it didn't seem to do anything.. but I got in. Perhaps dumb luck? Perhaps worth a try.

As for GM commands, you need to flag yourself higher. Download EQAdmin from the site, and find your account, flag it 255. That'll give you access to all commands. You'll get all the # commands and all the GM / commands.

Hope that helps~

To set yourself as the server op go to your eqemu directory and run the following from a dos prompt (assuming using the minilogin user)
Code:
world flag eqemu 200
This will run then close, if you have the dos window set to remain open when finished you can read that it set the permision properly.

If you are running a public server, replace eqemu with the login name you use. 200 is currently the max permisions granted.

If you are running 95 98 or ME use
Code:
minilogin.exe <-- omit if running a public server
world.exe
boot5zones.win9x.bat
If you are running NT 2000 or XP use
Code:
minilogin.exe <-- omit if running a public server
world.exe
boot5zones.bat
You could also just add
Code:
start minilogin.exe
start world.exe
to the beginning of the boot5zones.bat and boot5zones.win9x.bat files.

If you are running minilogin.exe and when you login you only see your server listed, then it is a private server, and only the eqemu account will work. Look for messages about lanparty play for info on up to 8 people playing that way.

The other way is to set up an account on the main login server (eqemu.net) No minilogin.exe needed. And anyone with an eqemu.net account can login.

The readme talks about setting up the client and server for both setups mentioned above.
