Crashing to Server Screen...

Hey, I'm fairly new to EQEMU and i quit regular EQ quite some time ago, but i decided to give this a shot... my problem is that i can get to the character screen, create a character, and then press enter world, but after 2 minutes of the loading screen, the computer just returns to the server screen. Any Advice? Thanks in advance!

What version are you trying to play? 5.3, 5.5? When was the last time you patched? There are some ongoing issues right now... If you patched before the 10th you can play on the 5.3 servers. If you patched after the 10th but before the 18th, you can play on the 5.5 servers (if there are any up). Other wise you'll have to wait for the fix from the 18th patch. It should be done soon. There was a post in the news forum that they've just about got it ironed out.

ahhh... i've been trying to play 5.5 but i patched on the 18th so that may be the problem, we;ll see, thanks for the help though

No problem. Read the news forum. There is a post about what is going on with the fix... I'm sure they'll post when it's ready.

here is my probs , been playing on shawns server for the past couple days and this afternoon it was gone but the other test server was back , so i attempted to log in to there seeing i did make a char there the other day just didnt do much else yet , well the char i made was gone so i made a new one and tried to log it in and kept getting sent back to the server select screen , so i went and probed the boards here , and thought id try patching up to the patch on the 18th so first thing i did was make a copy of my EQumu folder renamed it EQemu2 and patched the 1st EQemu folder to current well now i get bad user name or password , and the other folder i made still sends me back to server select

any help for this newb???

Read the guide on how to play to learn how to create the shortcut to play on eqemu servers.

yeah i can play for liek 30 seconds at a time till i lag out (appears to lag out) to the char select screen or server select screen.... whichever one it feels like.
