Ok, I have spent the past 3 days browsing posts, adding flames to fires, adding my 2 cents and saying hello to friends, and I have yet to find the answer to my problem. So hence after all this time I have decided to go in front of the firing squad to ask for advice.

I have ports 7000-7029 forewarded to my internal IP address, and my ip address forewarded through the DMZ. I also have port 9000-9000 forewarded to my internal ipaddress. and port 5997-5997 forewarded. All ICS and ICF are turned off, and I do NOT have an applications and gaming tab on my router setup.

Well thats my problem. Have at me you fiends . . . . . .

Oh, and some help would be nice too. I am almost certain that my ISP doesnt block incoming connections such as these. I have sent an e-mail to a tech and should be recieving an answer back within a few days

If there is any other problem can you please tell me how to fix it? Ive searched and searched and cant find a problem to locate my problem.

What exactly is the problem you're having? I don't see that in your post.

Try what Xabob suggests. I don't have port 5997 forwarded, but I do have port 5999 forwarded. Also, make sure UDP and TCP ports are forwarded just to be safe.

Check your eqhost.txt file and make sure it is trying to use 5997 and not 5999.

Also, try putting your internal IP in loginserver instead of 127.0.0.1, as sometimes computers dont like that loopback.... Easy way to do this is: when in notepad press cntrl+h, then in the window that comes up type 127.0.0.1, and under that in the replace box type your interal IP, and click replace all...

To test if you have your router set up correctly replace everything with localhost and see if you connect with no errors.. If you do then you KNOW some setting in your router is amiss...

My mistake, that was just a typo. I have ports 5997 through 5999 forewarded for the eqlogins. I somehow pressed 7 instead. Same thing, 1017 error, and as for me not saying what my problem is. ... I dunno what my problem is =-(
