I setup everything correctly according to the guides. But when i Select my character it Kicks me off to the login screen. Before you all Yell WTF GO FU***** Search forums... Listen. Good! Will 5.7 DR2 Fix this? I patched up to live. and im trying to run my own LAN server. 1 More thing. The boot 5 zones things. That loads 1 zone each correct? For example. If i set it up to run Eqenos, SQenos, and Hills, WIll thoose be the ONLY zones Avaible to my lan players? Or will All zones Be enabled? *Hops 5.7 Will be out soon* Im new to this so i was stupid enough to Download live =( So nowi need to wait for 5.7 Right?

Yes.. 5.7 DR2 fixes log in issue. I verified it myself.

as far as teh 5 zones... it actually is more dynamic.

Lets say you make an iksar. One of those sleeping zone files will load cabalis. when you zone, another will load that zone and that now empty zone you left will shut down.

Now.. lets say you got 5 people on your server in different zones. All your zone files are used. unless someone zones into an already open zone, no one is going to be moving around much.

Which is good for if your doing local testing and manipulation.

Once you plan to take your server up to a useable level, you have to start thinking on how many you want to service at once. edit the boot5zones.bat to have one zone per person you wish to support, plus one extra. Of coarse, no reason to boot up more zones than actually exist... but that is a lot of computing space.

Lets say im using theese 5, Sqenos, N Quenos, Blackburrow, Quenos hills, and west karana, I want it so ONYL thoose zones are accesible. !

Sure!

Just add the name of the zone you want loaded right before the period, like so:

Quote:
start Zone.exe sqeynos. 127.0.0.1 7995 127.0.0.1

Remove the periods after each zone name. And the short zone name for surefall glade is qrg, not surefallglade.
